Hi! I thought I'd tell you a little bit about me. My name is Lori and I'm a mother of three beautiful kids. My husband, Bill and I have been married for 14 years. He is my best friend, one of my biggest supporters and is always willing to help me whenever he can. He always seems to know when I've been in the studio a little too long and need a day of antiquing! I feel so blessed to have them. My oldest son, Zachary (10), brings coffee ( and sometimes Reese's cups) in the studio for those late nights. He is very thoughtful. Wesley, my 8 year old loves to come in and ask me to show him my newest designs. He likes to give me new ideas. They are a constant joy and sometimes an inspiration for my art. My daughter is 4 and in love with jewelry and would love it if I were to make her a new necklace everyday! Why the name Ellenay? It's because of her. Her name is Annalise McKenna. My idea was to turn our initials," L & A" into a word. So, Ellenay was born. Knowing her, she may follow in her mother's footsteps and be a jewelry designer herself when she is older.
The Process: All of my necklaces and accessories are completely hand made by me to be one-of-a-kind. I cut my own glass, create original collages from various antique papers and ephemera, original watercolors & unique lettering fonts. The pieces are then carefully hand soldered with lead-free silver and meticulously cleaned. I have enjoyed crafting just about anything for as long as I can remember. I love a wide variety of styles like French chic,Victorian, Country Living/Home,shabby cottage and anything from between 1930-1950. Mostly though, I love vintage one-of-a-kind pieces. I absolutely love nothing better than going to estate sales, flea markets, antique shops with my mom and sisters. I have been fortunate to be able to have my jewelry available in several boutiques. Visit my blog for locations.
I think the most important thing you could know about me is that I am a Christian. I grew up a "PK"(preacher's kid) and still have the honor of attending my Father's church with my family. It is such a blessing to have that influence for my kids as well.
Thank you for taking the time to read about me. I hope you enjoy my boutique and come again!
